To enable MS SQL Server 2008 support you need to install Patch 12 and then take into consideration the below comments.

To install QC:

Runs installation with parameter: setup.exe -W dbValidatorSequence.active=false

To create new project:

Add parameter in SA: ALLOW_NON_SUPPORTED_DB_VERSION=Y

To upgrade project:

Comment line: (<!-- ENTRY VALUE="com.mercury.qc.dbverify.tasks.DBSupportedCheckTask" -->) inside 2 files:

C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Quality Center\repository\sa\DomsInfo\MaintenanceData\conf\ verify_tasks_deep.xml and verify_tasks_basic.xml

Limitations:

• There is no support for the following extensions: BPTEE, APM, CIT, EI and STM.

Exception: Cannot enable extension for project on 2008.
